The portrait project was finished on schedule, and all fees went directly to support ART's mission to promote beauty and life-affirming values in all of the fine arts, which this stunning portrait surely does. The unveiling of the work was celebrated with a festive cocktail party at the Colony Club, located on Park Avenue, to rave reviews all around. Not only is the painting a splendid work of art on its own, but Mr. Kinstler also brought out Mrs. Chapin’s vivacious personality, a true tests for any portrait.
Mr. Kinstler is one of the most prominent portrait artists in the country, having painted many U.S. President’s official portraits and that of literally hundreds of Hollywood movie stars, entertainers and corporate executives.
